Does the Library have historic newspaper archives?

Answer

The Library subscribes to the Times Digital Archive (1785-2011), and British Library 17th-19th Century Digital Newspaper Collections. There is some electronic access to the past copies of newspapers via International Newsstream and LexisLibrary. There is also a substantial microfilm archive for the Times (and its supplements) and the New York Times, amongst others. This can be viewed (and scanned) via the microfilm reader in the 4th Floor Special Collections Reading Room. For more information see here.
