Can I borrow a thesis?
Answer
Individual users cannot borrow theses, but can consult them onsite in the library.
Requests directed to us from other libraries in the UK require a British Library request number and a billing account. Senate House Library charges for sending out a thesis on interlibrary loan. The enquirer then receives our printed copy for reference-only use within their library. Overseas requests can only be met by having a copy made. The Library may also photocopy the whole or part of post-1975 PhD theses if a paper copy is requested. It may also be worth checking to see whether a copy is available via EThOS.
